Welcome to our new and very tiny website which nonetheless is filled with some delightful products and a whole lot of enthusiasm for the future! The wonderful e-book "The Light Within" by Lisa Kirk is available on Amazon for reading in Kindle format and you can get a sneak-peek and a few details on this very website here. This uplifting 40-page picture book has been illustrated by Sandra Lamb, using the rich medium of chalk pastels which glow beautifully on e-reader and tablet screens.

Late in December 2021, our second great picture book, "Lucy and the Big Mistake" was published in hardcover and so far has met with enthusiasm and healthy sales at the grassroots level. Encouraged by its initial reception, we plan on also offering it in the near future on e-book formats so check back soon for news on that! Small Candle Publishing has also introduced a marvelous line of greeting cards featuring themes of Christmas, birthday, friendship, condolences and more. As the company name implies, the mandate of Small Candle is to produce exquisite books in electronic and traditional print, that inspire and/or amuse — lifting the spirit of each reader to a brighter place.

Our first title on this journey was created around a beautiful fable, written by a friend, Lisa M. Kirk, with accompanying illustrations by Sandra Lamb, and inspired by a dream-like state. To see "The Light Within" finally going out into the world in beautiful full colour was ample reward and more for the effortful journey to get there.
